The universe is made of stories, not of atoms.
Muriel Rukeyser
Stories are my greatest passion.
They are the best way for me to learn the most interesting things in a most interesting way. The love for storytelling began in my childhood and has been growing since.
As a writer I joyfully develop them myself and explore the various forms of expression: film, television, radioplay, prose and by now also computergames.
As a teacher I enjoy passing on my craft and my passion. The necessary reflection on my own techniques and strategies is most welcome and also the many inspiring discussions on story telling conventions, forms, contents, discipline and talent.
A a coach it is my pleasure to support others in taking their project to the next level of development. All creatives desire a „nudge of the muse“ on occasion that helps them to optimize their work and speeds up the process.
Applied Mythology is a source of inspiration to me.
The success of many media cannot be understood without considering their more or less obvious connection to mythology. That is true for fairytales and legends of course, but also comics as for literature in general, including the bible and every newspaper. It is also true for radio, film, television, art, commercials and many computer games. Obviously mythology caters to a primal needs we all have regularly: a need for magic and miracles, for the unbelievable and the unimaginable, the primal, the ultimate, the eternal…
Applied Mythology is present everywhere all the time and a glance at the mythological aspects of our life offers opportunities for insights which not only can increase our personal wisdom but our joy of life as well. To that my blog „Notes of an everyday goddess“ is dedicated.
